Andrea Valeria Gavilanes Lidioma
Andrea’s connection to music and dance began long before she ever stepped into a studio. Growing up in Ecuador, she was surrounded by the rhythms of marimba, Latin music and Andean folklore from an early age — experiences that deeply shaped her relationship with movement, rhythm and cultural expression.
At the age of seven, she moved to Madrid, where she expanded her artistic path through urban dance styles and multicultural influences. Before relocating to Vienna, Andrea was also part of a traditional Ecuadorian folklore dance group, performing regularly on stage and developing a strong sense of musicality, presence and connection through dance.
Now based in Vienna, Andrea has been teaching Latin dance for over five years, sharing her passion for salsa, bachata and movement with people of all ages and experience levels. Her classes combine technique, rhythm and emotional expression in a warm, dynamic and welcoming atmosphere.
With a strong focus on musicality and body awareness, Andrea encourages her students to connect more deeply with the music, discover their own movement and dance with confidence, freedom and joy.
Alongside her artistic work, Andrea is co-founder of Cambia, an intercultural initiative creating spaces for connection through dance, music, art and movement in Vienna.
